4/12/25 – I mailed my passport through priority mail
4/17/25 – received an email that it had arrived at the processing center
4/18/25 – started process, but being Good Friday I realized there may be a delay
4/28/25 – I called the number provided in the email to check the status. The very kind gentleman said it was being printed and to expect it early next week.
Then I received an email fromUSPS that it was shipped. I did pay extra for 1-2 day return shipping.
4/30/25 – passport was delivered!
It ended up costing more due to my negligence but a very simple and straightforward process.

I paid for flat-rate shipping to there and “1-2 Day Delivery” back. The flat-rate shipping got my application there on May 4 even though it was a Sunday, but the The U.S. Department of State did not start processing it until late Tuesday night. They accepted my application on May 14 and got the passport to the post office on May 15, and I received it the next day.
It was funny that I mailed my application to Philadelphia, they processed it in Charleston, SC, and they sent the new passport from Tuscon.
