Remember that the counter begins the day they cash your check and not when it was mailed. I mailed mine on 4/07/23, PO box received on 04/11/23 and check was cashed on 4/13/23. I received the passport in hand today 6/29/23…total of 77 days

Senator Cornyn email response 6/24/23. Did not follow up to ask for travel docs- just got an email response.
Started calling NPIC on 6/15. First time I got through was 6/26. Called every 30 minutes and this was the first time I got through. Initial prompted hold time 1 hour. Actual hold time: 1hr5min. 4pm CST Monday 6/26
They told us passport was being printed and that we would recv a tracking number within 24 hours.

USPS: 6/27 2:35pm rcvd by USPS in AZ, estimated delivery date 6/28

Advice: Be kind. They are working hard. I chose not to label as stressful because we did what we could, but it was a nail-biter. Do all the things – keep calling NPIC until you get through, contact your congressperson if you have travel soon. Learned a valuable lesson and will be applying for our children 6 months in advance.

My husband and I received our passport renewals in a speedy 8 weeks through regular (non-expedited) service, but that was via the NH agency. Our kids (one under 16 years and one 16 years) both took the fill 13 week maximum through the Boston agency. I was worried and called after 12 weeks wait to request expedited service. The passports were approved a few days later and my credit card was never charged.
