Apply on 4/27 with US post office. Person didn’t tell me that my damage passport was not a Renewal application but it should be a New application. So this stall my application. We had to submit a DS 11. Then we got a letter stating we had to submit an old passport card. We contact our Senator and Congressman since our travel was 8/3. They both did inquiries. Once all documents were receive, our application was approve two weeks later and shipped. Now I can finally breathe and look forward for our first Disney cruise next week. Locator 69 staff was always pleasant when we called then almost every other day. Thank you.

I sent in my documents on June 9th and had my application marked as “Processing” on June 13th. I chose to expedite my passport renewal application because I had a trip planned to depart on July 29th which would have made the turnaround time very tight.

When I had two weeks left before my planned departure date, I called the Passport Information Center to see what they could do to speed up the application process and request priority mail shipping. They marked my passport renewal application as “Urgent” and five days later my application status changed to “Shipped”. (I was on hold for an hour before I got through to an agent.)

I received my new passport on July 24th, just in time for my trip!
