I know what you all are thinking ” What’s the problem, your passport had a really short wait time.” Yes, it did, however there was a lot of stress involved in the weeks between it being sent and finally arriving in my mailbox. I originally sent mine off in February as I needed my passport to complete my applications for Graduate Schools in the U.K. I thought it would be a quick and simple process, but as it turns out I have terrible timing. There was a technical difficulty that effected those who sent their passport applications from late January to Early February and prevented them from receiving updates on their applications. As you can imagine, with deadlines to sign up for grad schools growing closer, I was anxious constantly. I tried calling but as we all know due to high levels of caller volume , I couldn’t. I ended up having to reach out to my local representative, who in turn was able to get information on my application the same day the D O.J announced that they had technical difficulties. By sheer luck the application came a few days shy of many of my grad school deadlines.
